Coldplay was due to livestream a concert of new material from their forthcoming album A Head Full of Dreams via Tidal and KROQ this weekend, but after the attacks in Paris, the band stripped down the show and only played older, acoustic versions of songs from their vault.
“Tonight’s live stream for TIDAL & KROQ has been postponed out of respect for the terrible events in Paris,” the band wrote on their website. “We’ll play a short set of old material so that your journey isn’t wasted. We send our love and prayers to the people of Paris.”
Among fan favorites like “Sparks” and “Fix You,” the band covered John Lennon’s “Imagine” and dedicated it to Paris.
