CBS has changed up its scheduled episodes of Supergirl and NCIS: LA for this week, in the wake of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
The network had originally slated the Supergirl episode “How Does She Do It?” for Monday night. However, the plot for the hour revolves around “a series of bombings” that strike National City. This will now be replaced with a Thanksgiving-pegged episode, “Livewire,” which is named for the villain it introduces.
Meanwhile, NCIS: LA will screen “The Long Goodbye.” While the previously scheduled programming featured a young girl recruited into a terrorist organization, the new episode will focus on the search for a missing woman that Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) helped earn asylum in the U.S.
The Paris attacks, which left at least 129 people dead, prompted a swift and emotional response from the entertainment industry. WhileSNL, Bill Maher, and Stephen Colbert were among those paying tribute, the Foo Fighters canceled their tour and promotional events in France for Bridge of Spies and Jane Got a Gun were halted.
