At least four people, including a child, were killed Sunday afternoon when a passenger van and two other vehicles were involved in a crash in Hyattsville, Maryland, authorities said.
At least 14 other people — eight adults and six children — were seriously injured, some with life-threatening injuries, the Hyattsville Fire Department said. Three were flown from the scene by helicopter, it said.
Prince George’s Fire Chief Marc Bashoor told NBC station WBAL of Baltimore that some motorists were trapped in their vehicles early Sunday evening.
