The website Cut.com has produced a video that attempts to show the evolution of fashion trends in Brazil from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. Chris Chan, who is getting a PhD in anthropology, explains that the looks sported by model Cintia Dicker (who hails from southern Brazil) were inspired by actress Carmen Miranda, rock star Rita Lee, and a Miss Brazil from the 1950s, to name a few.
This episode about Brazilian beauty is the latest in this “100 years of beauty” series, which has spotlighted various fashion trends in American, Persian, Korean, Russian, Mexican, Indian, Italian, and Filipino cultures.
