Heidi Klum couldn’t care less that Donald Trump thinks she’s “no longer a 10.” The Project Runway host responded to the presidential candidate’s comments from August about her looks, telling Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was baffled he decided to criticize her appearance, because she hadn’t been vocal about the election at all — up until that point, anyway.
“Why would I say anything?” Klum asked, perturbed, when DeGeneres pointed out that she had gotten into “a tiny bit of trouble” with Trump. “I was watching the election because, really, for the first time, I have to admit it, it is quite fun, because of all the fighting and all the madness that is going on and all of a sudden my name comes up. What do I have to do with any of this?”
Unprompted, Trump had deemed Klum “no longer a 10” during an interview with the New York Times. At the time, Klum responded with a tongue-in-cheek Instagram video:
On Ellen, she elaborated on her carefree attitude about the slight from Trump. “I mean who is even a 10?” Klum said, shrugging as the audience laughed. “No one is a 10. .. I guess [Trump said this] because now I’m 42 and I’m not.”
And at the end of the segment, Klum added her point of view on which candidate she supports. (It’s Hillary.) “All I have to say [is], may the best woman win,” she said while looking at the camera, and adding that in her home country, German chancellor Angela Merkel is proof of a successful female leader.
