A Rhode Island couple claims that after being featured in a horror movie, their house has become haunted—by trespassers.
Norma Sutcliffe and her husband are suing Warner Bros., claiming that the 2013 film The Conjuring has caused them nothing but trouble. The couple claims that they are kept awake at night by trespassers peering into their home, according to the Associated Press.
Sutcliffe claims that neither she or her husband were approached by the movie studio about using their home’s likeness. Fans were able to find the home because the filmmakers used the real name’s of the home’s previous owners.
Warner Bros. has been asked to cover the cost of a security system for the property, as well as undisclosed monetary damages.
A studio spokesperson told the AP that the company had not seen the lawsuit.
