Try as she might, Jessica Jones can’t drink her problems away, nor can she forget them.
The first full-length trailer for the second Marvel/Netflix outing, Jessica Jones, paints a dark picture for its titular heroine, played by Krysten Ritter. Now working as a private investigator at Alias Investigations, Jessica has moved on from her short time as a superhero, but the past catches up with her quickly.
The trailer above shows the state of Jessica’s life as she’s working to piece it back together. She meets Luke Cage (who will be getting his own Netflix series next), played by Mike Colter and has a friendship with Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), but Kilgrave (David Tennant), a dark figure from her previous life, reenters the picture and threatens her attempts to live as normally as possible.
Jessica Jones also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval, and is executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg. For more on the series, which will hit the streaming service on Nov. 20, watch Rosenberg, Ritter, and more of the cast discuss what fans can expect from the show below.
