A singalong to the Bill Withers hit “Lean On Me” appears to have cheered up commuters riding the Northern Line of the London Underground. Some straphangers played the guitar and violin in a clip uploaded by YouTube user “Scott Ross,” who claims the impromptu performance took place on a recent Tuesday. “You guys were fantastic,” the user wrote in a description of the video. “Sad I needed to get off at Bank.”
Another subway singalong that went viral recently involved a local singer named Neil Francis belting out Erasure’s “A Little Respect” on a crowded platform.
