John Oliver swung by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Wednesday, and thad the perfect answer when Colbert asked if Oliver cared about Donald Trump.
“I couldn’t give less of a sh*t,” he says matter of factly (and to loads of applause). He also breaks it down quite simply, saying that it’s 2015 right now and the election isn’t until next year.
“I don’t care until we’re in the same year as the same that I’m supposed to care about.”
Oliver confirms that he’s not an American citizen anyway, so his vote is moot. Colbert and the HBO Last Week Tonight host go on to banter about the upcoming election, the important issues in debates and, of course, missing Jon Stewart.
