A Florida couple has announced that anyone can come to their wedding — a move straight out of the 2005 film Wedding Crashers, in which stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson show up unannounced to other people’s weddings for fun. Well, and also to meet women.
The Fort Myers News-Press reports that Lee County sheriff’s deputy Paul Johnson and Shelly Osterhout will be married in a private ceremony on Oct. 10 and that the two are planning for up to 1,600 guests at their wedding reception at Bell Tower Shops, an outdoor shopping plaza in Fort Myers, Fla.
But why the open invitation? Osterhout simply told the news outlet, “the more the merrier.”
