Will Jon Hamm ever get a role that lives up to Don Draper? Just five days after his first Emmy win for his performance on Mad Men, it’s too soon to say—but he will get to relive the glory days in a guest role on SpongeBob SquarePants.
The actor will appear on the Nickelodeon program as “Don Grouper,” a fish who also happens to be “a charismatic head ad executive,” according to Vulture. He will appear in an episode sometime next year in which SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs will come to him for business advice, presumably about the Krusty Krab—though we imagine he’ll need help from someone like, say, Peggy Blowfish if he wants a pitch as good as the Burger Chef campaign. “We open on a shark’s-eye-view of a typical kitchen table…”
