Ahead of Pope Francis’s trip to New York City, the non-profit education news site The74Million.org interviewed six lucky students at Our Lady Queen of Angels in East Harlem who won a lottery to meet the pontiff on Friday.
The third and fourth graders say they want to know whether he has “ever taken a selfie and does he know what that is?” and whether “he likes ice cream.”
When asked what Pope Francis should do in the Big Apple, nine-year-old Ngueubou Kamwa suggested he go to Times Square ” ’cause they could draw his face for him, and he’ll always remember that.”
