When a fan decided to rush the field and interrupt a Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive huddle, cornerback Nolan Carroll took it into his own hands to take the man down.
The incident occurred at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field during Sunday’s NFC East matchup between the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.
Even after Carroll throws him to the ground, the man still manages to look pretty proud of himself as security escorts him away. The fan’s poorly timed attempt at 15 seconds of fame came during a particularly long Cowboys possession, ensuring Eagles’ players were in no mood to greet him.
This is not the first fan with a field-rushing fantasy that the NFL has had to deal with this season. During the season opener between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pats’ fan Mike Tetreault was ejected from the stadium for posting a tweet about his game plans.
“10,000 retweets and I’ll run on the field!,” he tweeted.
