Beyoncé, as you know, is a feminist icon, a pioneering businesswoman and an elusive chanteuse. Naughty Boy is…that guy who gets into Twitter fights with One Direction members, both current and former. (Okay, he’s also a music producer who worked with Sam Smith.) He has a new song coming out called “Runnin’ (Lose It All)” that just so happens to feature the pop star, and he shared a brief clip of it on Wednesday. But because Bey tends to be picky about her collaborators, teaming up with only a few of the biggest names, some fans have posed the same sensible question: How did Naughty Boy get Beyoncé of all people to show up on his song? Regardless, new Beyoncé music is still new Beyoncé music, no matter the source, and “Runnin’ (Lose It All)” will probably still be a cause for celebration when it drops tomorrow (according to Naughty Boy’s Twitter timeline). You can listen to a preview here.
