Paul Walker’s family and friends are honoring his legacy Saturday, on what would have been the late actor’s 42nd birthday.
His daughter, Meadow Walker, paid tribute by announcing the launch of The Paul Walker Foundation, an organization that aims to continue Walker’s philanthropic pursuits. According to the organization’s website, it is currently supporting the fight to protect oceans and wildlife.
“Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill,” Meadow Walker wrote on Instagram. “I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others. I am tremendously proud to be launching The #PaulWalkerFoundation (@paulwalkerfdn) on his birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my father. #DoGood.”
“I don’t know anyone that loves the ocean as much as Paul did,” his brother Cody also told PEOPLE. “It will always remind me of him. So, on his birthday, that’s where I’ll be. We will have a small celebration for Paul with close friends and family – nothing big. Paul was a low-key guy.”
Elsewhere, Walker’s Fast and Furious co-stars Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, and Nathalie Emmanuel honored his birthday on social media.
