Sad news today: the magnificent opinion analyst Andrew Kohut has passed away, a victim of leukemia. In a business rife with partisan charlatans, Andy was a trustworthy institution. The polling he supervised at Pew Research was rock solid, bipartisan, fascinating. He was my go-to guy whenever I had a question about public opinion….sometimes my questions were pretty obscure, but Andy was always fascinated by a new challenge, a question that had not yet been asked.
I feel lucky to have known him and worked with him. He surely will be missed.
