Adele Will Release a New Album in November, Report Says

2 minute read

Little is known about Adele’s forthcoming album, the follow-up to 2011’s Grammy-winning global smash 21. She’s been teasing new music for more than a year, but now Billboard reports her label, XL Recordings, is planning to release the album in November.

Back in May 2014, Adele hinted that an album would be out that year. “Bye bye 25… See you again later in the year,” she tweeted, suggesting the album would be titled 25. But the New York Times reported in October that XL had no plans for a 2014 release. Buried in the label’s financial report, it stated, “There will not be a further new release by Adele during 2014 and consequently there will be a fall in XL’s turnover and profits.”

Adele has yet to confirm reports of a release date. Still, a few details about collaborators she’s worked with have leaked. According to Billboard, Danger Mouse, Max Martin, singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr., and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote and produced Adele’s “Rumour Has It,” could have credits on the album.

A rep for Adele had no comment.
