Almost all the rooms on a new cruise with a six figure price tag were booked within 24 hours of going on sale.
The cruise line Regent Seven Seas recently unveiled a massive, 128 day around-the-world cruise with prices starting at $54,999 per person, or more than $100,000 per couple, USA Today reports. Despite the price, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings president and CEO Frank Del Rio said 70% of the 490 passenger cruise was booked within the first day of sales.
The cruise will depart January 5, 2017 from Miami, and will include stops in more than 60 ports and six continents.
