Will the Olsen twins show up in Netflix’s Full House reunion?
Even though the revival is already shooting, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos says its still possible Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will join the rest of the cast.
“The Olsen twins are teetering [on] whether or not they’ll be around,” Sarandos told reporters Tuesday at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour in Beverly Hills. “There’s a bunch of opportunity for them if they choose to. But they’re not in the current creative.”
The executive added that the sitcom classic was appealing to the streaming service because it “never really went away after its network run” ended in 1995, and its audience remains very “cross-generational” and hopes that there will plenty of “co-viewing” among the audience.
“It’s very much the same spirit as the original, but a modern take on Full House,” Sarandos says.
The rest of the original ABC cast—including John Stamos, Bob Saget, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin—are all on board.
