Country singer Miranda Lambert returned to the stage Wednesday night in her first public appearance since announcing her divorce from Blake Shelton.
In an impromptu appearance at The Basement East in Nashville, Lambert sang “Heart Like Mine” with her friend Ashley Monroe, ABC reports. Lambert is scheduled to perform a sold-out show in Nashville on July 28.
Lambert and her husband of four years, fellow country star Shelton, announced their split at the end of July. “It is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” they said in a statement. “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
