In a sneak peek at Tuesday night’s episode of Inside Amy Schumer, the comedian meets with a smile consultant after a coworker calls her smile “garbage” and an online poll votes that a dog dressed like her is more attractive than the actress herself. During a grueling session, the consultant, David, repeats “smile please,” “no,” and “again” over and over until he likes her smile — which is basically not a smile.
The sketch pokes fun at the absurd ways women try to change things about themselves that don’t need to be changed just to be liked more by men or random people on the Internet. It also jibes with her goal to make women “feel beautiful in their own skin” and “empower them to use their voice and not apologize,” as she explains in Glamour‘s August 2015 cover story.
