A comedian who interrupted a performance by Kanye West Saturday night says he did it for Taylor Swift.
Simon Brodkin, a British comedian who goes by the name Lee Nelson, ran onto the stage during a performance of the song ‘Black Skinhead’ at the Glastonbury music festival in the United Kingdom. The comedian was quickly escorted away while West waited to continue his performance.
On Twitter, the comedian said he dedicated the stunt to Swift who was famously interrupted by West during an acceptance speech at the 2009 Video Music Awards.
Brodkin has a history of similar stunts and once snuck a photo with the English national soccer team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The interruption apparently didn’t get to West, who ended his 90-minute performance declaring with characteristic understatement that he is “the greatest living rock star on the planet.”
