Tinashe is already hard at work on the follow-up to last year’s stellar Aquarius, but she’s not done with the project just yet. Even after dropping a new mixtape in March, the “2 On” singer premiered the official music video for the Aquarius cut “Cold Sweat” on Tuesday. The stark, disorienting treatment is far less flashy than her Kanye West-approved “All Hands on Deck” video, but it’s a good fit for the icy, understated track, which re-teams Tinashe with her “Vulnerable” producer Boi-1da.
Fans would be wise to savor her slower material right about now — with “uptempo” Max Martin and Doctor Luke collaborations in the works, you might as well kiss the old T goodbye—she’s dead and gone.
