Janet Jackson doesn’t like to keep her fans waiting. After promising “new music, new world tour, a new movement” in May, she’s delivered in all fronts. (Well, the movement part is still to come.)
The singer premiered her new single “No Sleeep”—no, she’s not falling a sleep on her keyboard, it’s purposefully spelled that way—a few days after announcing the North American dates for her Unbreakable World Tour. Don’t be fooled by its title: the collaboration with longtime pals Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis isn’t another “All Nite”-esque banger, but a sexy slow jam about getting quality time with a lover. “It’s going to be a weekend marathon / so you better get ready my king / ’cause I’ma be the queen of insomnia,” she sings.
