A girl was singing Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” at the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta recently, when Sheeran himself walked out of an HMV store and surprised her on stage, the Edmonton Journal reports .
The pop star sang the rest of the song with 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau and gave her a hug, as shown in the below video .
Bourbeau’s performance was part of a fundraiser for the Edmonton Humane Society, the Edmonton Journal reports.
She told the newspaper it was the “best” thing that had ever happened to her: “I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him.”
