Kacey Musgraves’ video for her song “Biscuits” — a delightful ode to the concept of “you do you” — is is loaded with country staples like gingham and hay bales. It also features wacky costumes, some chickens, a baby goat and a Muppet-esque puppet.
Musgraves herself described the video to BuzzFeed as “Hee-Haw meets Pee Wee’s Playhouse meets Wes Anderson,” and it does operate like a vintage television show. The song even breaks after the bridge for an animated advertisement for “Mind Your Own Biscuit Mix.”
It all ends with a prompt to sing along. You can follow the lyrics by the bouncing biscuit on the screen. You’ll want to do-si-do right along.
