A mother accused of killing two of her children and keeping their bodies in the freezer appeared to admit to a murder in an emotional outburst at a court hearing in which she stood to lose custody of two others.
Mitchelle Blair, who is also charged with child abuse, cried out after her surviving son testified. “Everybody want to know, yes I did kill her,” Blair screamed as she was led out of the courtroom.
The bodies of two of Blair’s children, 9-year-old son Stephen Berry, and daughter Stoni Blair, 13, were found in a freezer in Blair’s Detroit home in March, though the state claims they were killed in 2012 and 2013, the Daily Mail reports.
One of Blair’s surviving children has detailed abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother, including being beaten and burned.
