While accepting the Top Duo or Group Billboard Music Award, Liam Payne of the band One Direction provided some solace for fans who’ve been upset in the wake of bandmate Zayn Malik’s March departure from the band.

The band accepted the award in their four-person iteration, and Payne paid tribute to Malik this way: “There’s one more person to share this with, and that’s our brother Zayn.”
