Apple is offering Apple Watch app developers exclusive access to a spare supply of Apple Watches, promising shipment no later than April 28, weeks ahead of the average wait times for most of the general public.
“We want to help give Apple developers the opportunity to test their WatchKit apps on Apple Watch as soon as it is available,” Apple wrote in an email to developers first spotted by MacRumors. The developers will be able to buy an Apple Watch Sport model with a blue strap.
Developers can register their interest in the deal, after which Apple will decide by “random selection” who will have access to the early deliveries. As always, supplies are limited, even in the fast lane.
