The 2015 Billboard Music Awards hosts Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen along with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz announced finalists for the first five categories Tuesday morning on Good Morning America with Sam Smith and Taylor Swift occupying a familiar space at the top of the leaderboard—each finding their name in four categories. The trio revealed Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top 100 Song. The remaining 36 (!) cateogories will come later on Tuesday via a press conference hosted by Teigen and Empire star Jussie Smollett.
Wentz was promoting Fall Out Boy’s billed performance at the broadcast saying, “We’re gonna play our song ‘Uma Thurman’ for the first time on live TV, and our buddy Wiz Khalifa is going to come out and do something with us.” The awards will air live May 17, from 8-11 p.m on ABC.
