The suggested retail price for the May 2 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is $89.95, reports ESPN’s Darren Rovell.
That price would break the record for a pay-per-view event. An additional charge for HD viewing could be as much as $10.
The price for the fight between Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez in September 2013 was $64.95 and $74.95 for high definition.
That fight set records for both pay-per-view revenue ($152 million) and total revenue ($200 million).
The record for most pay-per-view purchases (2.5 million) was set for the fight between Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya in May 2007.
The highly-anticipated Mayweather-Pacquiao bout is expected to shatter all of those records.
