If you haven’t caught Frozen Fever yet, this new song will do the trick.
Disney has released “Making Today a Perfect Day,” a new song featured in the seven-minute digital short playing in theaters ahead of Cinderella, which comes out Friday.
The song features Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell singing as Queen Elsa and Princess Anna as they try to arrange a perfect birthday celebration for Anna – all while Elsa is catching a nasty cold.
And the duo makes coming down with the sniffles sound so good: “I’m making today a perfect day for you. I’m making today a blast, if it’s the last thing I do,” Elsa (Menzel) croons, sneezing in between the sprightly lyrics.
Frozen Fever picks up where the feature film left off, but this time with an all new (mini) adventure in Arendelle.
The release of the song was the second Frozen treat for fans on Thursday – Disney also confirmed a full-length sequel is in the works.
“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, at a Disney shareholder meeting Thursday.
“Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
