Death Cab for Cutie’s second single off Kintsugi is here, and it’s very Death Cab for Cutie—but with (relatively) more upbeat instrumentation.
Both of Death Cab’s latest tracks (this and “Black Sun”) are reminiscent of their earlier, Transatlanticism-era work, but with some electronic leanings. But even when “No Room in Frame” veers toward the experimental, it still has those melancholy lyrics (example: “You cannot outrun a ghost”) we’ve come to expect from the Ben Gibbard-led trio.
Kintsugi arrives March 31.
