Super Bowl XLIX is looking like the most-watched event in TV history

According to early ratings provided by NBC, the Patriots’ 28-24 win over Seahawks delivered the highest overnight household rating in Super Bowl history yesterday with a 49.7.

That’s up 4 percent from last year in the big game and up 3 percent from the previous record-holding Super Bowl, the Ravens-49ers XLVII in 2013.
