For his first studio album in more than 30 years, disco icon Giorgio Moroder — otherwise known to the kids these days as that smooth-talking Italian guy from the Daft Punk album — recruited an all-star team of pop divas including Sia, Charli XCX and even Britney Spears. But there’s no collaborator more suited to teaming up with the dance-music pioneer than the woman who brought us “Your Disco Needs You”: Kylie Minogue. (Oh yeah, she may also have been responsible for some song that you can’t get out of your head.)
It’s not like he really needed the help, though. Thanks the track’s deep vocoder-like hiccups, it’s clear Moroder has no problem updating his sound after all these decades. “Right, Here, Right Now” could have been snuck on to Minogue’s last album, Kiss Me Once, and fans would be none the wiser.
