Deadheads, prepare: The four surviving original members of The Grateful Dead will play three reunion shows this summer with Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio.
Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir decided to perform these 50th-anniversary shows at Soldier Field in Chicago, the location of their final performance with Jerry Garcia in 1995. He died one month later.
Anastasio told Billboard he “didn’t hesitate for a second to say yes” to the invitation to play with the band on July 3-5.
