Producer Mark Ronson penned a heartfelt tribute to Amy Winehouse regarding his latest album Uptown Special, which he dedicated to the late British singer as well as songwriter Teenie Hodges and French producer DJ Mehdi.
Ronson, who collaborated with Winehouse on her Grammy-winning album Back to Black, posted the dedication on his Twitter feed Tuesday, explaining that it was accidentally left off the actual album during printing.
“This album is dedicated to the memory of Teenie Hodges and DJ Mehdi and to Amy Winehouse,” the note begins. “Although I wish you were still here, I’m always thinking of you, inspired by you and your music lives on in myself and everyone who ever felt it. Love, Mark”
Winehouse and Mehdi both died in 2011, while Hodges passed away last year.
