Canada-born actor Beau Kazer, who originated the role of Brock Reynolds on The Young and the Restless, died on Dec. 30 at age 63, according to Soap Opera Network.
Kazer, who was born in Ontario, first appeared on the CBS soap as the lawyer son of Katherine Chancellor in 1974. He left the show six years later, but returned on and off from 1984 to 2013. Other television appearances include General Hospital, Hart to Hart, and more.
On his Facebook page, The Young and the Restless Star Daniel Goddard remembered Kazer’s “natural and honest” performances. “RIP Beau Kazer (Brock) I remember the first time I heard your voice and thought wow!” he wrote. “This guy should have been in radio! Then I watched u act and was blown away with how natural and honest your performances always were. God Bless.”
Kazer is survived by his wife, Sharon Alkus.
