The 2015 MTV Movie awards will be hosted by outspoken TV comic Amy Schumer. She let everyone know via MTV’s social media platforms, which she had taken over for an hour of jokes and photos.
She also told followers on her own Twitter feed.
“We are thrilled to work with Amy to create an unpredictable and hilarious showcase for Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters,” said MTV president Stephen Friedman.
Schumer is the first host of the awards night to make the announcement herself. Expect lots more originality when the show airs live from Los Angeles on Apr. 12, 2015.
