First it was the hashtags. Now, Facebook is revamping its Trending section to offer a live feed of trending news topics.
Facebook’s latest update brings Trending to mobile devices, where users can see the moment’s top shared news stories and, for the first time, group the posts in five different categories, Facebook said in a statement Wednesday. The groupings divide posts into those shared by news organizations, people in the story, your friend network, people near the story, or a live feed including everyone.
The Trending update is now available for Android and web in the U.S., while support for iOS and in other countries is coming soon.
