Thanksgiving 2014 has been its usual heady mix of travel chaos, gluttony and family feuding. And naturally social media was swamped with our celebrity friends demonstrating just how down-to-earth and wholesomely they celebrated the holiday. And, of course, many failed spectacularly.

Some overachieving celebs tweeted their thanks before the big day arrived:

Or encouraged other people to go shopping:

Or went shopping themselves:

Some celebs got to go home:

Where there were some kiddies:

And wives:

And plenty of cousins:

And some guests with unusual interests:

Plus some food:

(Some more appetizing than others):

Of course, there were also some pounds, real or imagined:

Some spent it with exemplary cutlery sets:

Others, without electricity:

And some couldn’t resist a little bit of sass:
