Priory’s ‘Weekend’ Video Is a Roller-Rink Dance Party: Watch

1 minute read

“Weekend,” the anthemic new track from rising duo Priory, sounds like it belongs in every upcoming indie dramedy about aimless millennials finding their way and living life to the fullest. And now — just in time for the weekend, of course — the song has a music video you can shout along with (until the band’s album drops in November).

In the clip, Nick Krause (Boyhood, The Descendants) dreams of winning the affection of True Blood’s Bailey Noble by busting out the skates at an old-school roller rink (the actual rink shut down just a few days after the band filmed there). In his head, he’s got all the glittery disco threads and moves to make it happen; in real life, not so much. See if he gets the girl after all in the video, above.
