If you don’t know Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza by name, you still may know her crazy-infectious single “Hideaway.” But during a recent appearance on NME Basement Sessions, the singer proved that she’s good for more than just dancing her way through the streets of Brooklyn wearing suspenders. (For the record: she’s great at that.)
Armed with just an acoustic guitar, Kiesza delivered a surprisingly emotional and uncharacteristically stripped-down performance of Nirvana’s 1993 classic “Heart-Shaped Box.” Warning: this is likely to give you many feels.
