It looks like Boy is going to meet Girl this summer on the Disney Channel.
Several actors from the popular coming of age television show Boy Meets World will reprise their roles in Disney’s highly anticipated Girl Meets World, when the series premieres later this year.
E! Online reports that Rider Strong will revisit his role as Shawn Hunter, Cory Matthews’ (Ben Savage’s) best friend, and Betsey Randle and William Russ will once again play Cory’s parents Amy and Alan Matthews for a holiday episode of Girl Meets World.
Danielle Fishel, who plays Topanga Matthews (Cory’s girlfriend-turned-wife), posted a first look at the reunion on Instagram:
Boy Meets World, which ran on the Disney Channel from 1993 to 2000, followed the lives of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and his best friend Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong) and then-girlfriend Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) as they navigated the trials and tribulations of high school. Girl Meets World will tell the story of Cory and Topanga’s children.
