Warner Bros. has cast most of the headliners for the Peter Pan prequel Pan, and it promises to be impressively star-studded. Hugh Jackman will play the pirate Blackbeard; Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) is Captain Hook; newcomer Levi Miller will take on Peter Pan; and Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is in talks to play Tiger Lily, according to Variety.
The movie will follow an orphan kidnapped by pirates during World War II and brought to Neverland; Peter soon discovers that it is his fate to save Neverland from Blackbeard. The new film will reportedly feature a multi-racial and international world radically different from the original British tale. Joe Wright is directing the film, which is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
