Landon Donovan has spent enough time venting his frustration at missing out on the final cut for the U.S. national team’s roster. Now, he’s embracing it with complete hilarity.
Donovan, in an ad for EA Sports’ 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, is shown in an apartment at complete ease on gameday, rocking a pair of USA slippers and torching Germany as himself while playing the game. The kicker comes at the end, when Donovan, playing off the American Outlaws’ “We are going to Brazil!” chant sung when the USA secured qualification to the World Cup, solemnly sings to himself: “I’m not going, I’m not going, I’m not going to Brazil.”
