Late-Night Highlight: Allison Williams Gushes About Her Engagement

Allison Williams showed off her new engagement ring to Seth Meyers on Late Night Tuesday night, saying, “I’m obsessed with it, I stare at it a lot.” And with a ring that big, what girl wouldn’t?

The 25-year-old Girls star announced her engagement to boyfriend Ricky Van Veen in late February, and everyone from Meyers to Larry King seemed to want to know what her dad, NBC anchor Brian Williams, thinks of the whole affair. Luckily, he made it pretty clear when he appeared on Late Night the night before and called Van Veen “a lovely guy.”

Williams says she was “completely surprised” by the proposal, even though she considers herself to be “impossible to surprise.”
