Selena Gomez and Zedd Make a Great Team on ‘I Want You to Know’

The rumored couple's new collaboration is ready for the clubs

Selena Gomez and DJ-producer Zedd make beautiful music together — and no, that’s not a euphemism. The pop star and the EDM beatsmith are rumored to be dating since they hang out, like, all the time and snap cozy Instagrams; now, they’re aiming to make headlines with what they do in the studio.

Zedd’s futuristic synthesizers recall “Break Free,” his literally-out-of-this-world collaboration with Ariana Grande, but Gomez, who sounds like she recorded her part next to Sandra Bullock in the Gravity spaceship, keeps the track from becoming a lifeless carbon copy. Given Gomez’s habit of wearing her heart on her sleeve in her music, her fans — or maybe just fellow alien life form and ex, the Biebz — will probably study this song like tea leaves.

Selena Gomez Bares Ankles in Mosque, Deletes Photo After Sparking Outrage

The snapshot has spurred comments from detractors, who decried it as being inappropriate

Selena Gomez and her group of friends were careful to cover their heads when they paid a sightseeing visit to an Abu Dhabi mosque earlier this week.

But Gomez sparked controversy when she posted an Instagram photo showing her flashing her bare ankles in the mosque, which critics labeled as disrespectful.

That photo has since been deleted, but not before being widely circulated online.

The pop star, 22, however, has kept another Instagram photo of her visit, showing her and her crew smiling and mugging it up for the camera.

The snapshot has spurred comments from detractors, who decried it as being inappropriate.

“As tourists they should still respect the fact they are in a holy place,” one Instagram commenter wrote.

Other followers stepped up to defend the group: “Clearly, she’s a tourist & she isn’t purposely disrespecting the religion or the mosque.”

Gomez traveled to the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the new year along with pals Kendall Jenner and Cody Simpson, where they toured the Abu Dhabi’s famed Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque early in the week before spending New Year’s Eve in Dubai.

Selena Gomez: I Gave Into Pressure

The young, troubled star explains why she checked into a rehab facility in January

The young singer and actress Selena Gomez is starting to open up about her troubled start to 2014, People reports.

In an interview at the We Day conference in California, she talked about the issues that made her check into rehab in January.

“I’m surrounded by people who are supposed to guide me, and some of them have and others haven’t. They pressure me … you gotta be sexy, you gotta be cute, you gotta be nice. You gotta be all these things,” the 21-year old starlet said in front of her screaming fans.

She told her fans to stay true to themselves and not to listen to what other people tell them to do.

“Until recently, I had given into that pressure. I lost sight of who I was. I listened to opinions of people and I tried to change who I am because I thought that others would accept me for it.”

Although Gomez spent two weeks at the Dawn at the Meadows rehab facility in Arizona, it was not for substance or alcohol abuse her management says. The facility treats several different kinds of addiction.

But not for substance abuse

Actress and singer Selena Gomez secretly checked into an Arizona rehab facility for the first two weeks of January after canceling the Australian leg of her tour.

“Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse,” Gomez’s rep told People. But RadarOnline, who first reported the story, alleges that the Spring Break star’s hard-partying habits had friends and family worried.

Gomez, 21, canceled part of her Stars Dance concert in December, stating: “It has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”

Gomez’s on-again-off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber has recently made headlines for a series of run-ins with police, including a DUI.
