A Digital Sneaker

PUMA Fi

SPECIAL MENTION: German footwear company PUMA has unveiled the $330 PUMA Fi laceless shoe: just swipe up on the top of the sneaker, and tiny computer processors tell micro-motors to tighten it up. Swipe down to loosen the fit. Users can also control their comfort from an iPhone app or Apple watch. Over 30,000 people from more than 10 countries have applied to beta test the shoes, which will be available for consumers next year. —Sean Gregory
