If you’re looking for a heartwarming story of Christmas cheer during the holidays, look no further than this precocious beaver in Charlotte Hall, Maryland who got into the spirit of the season this week by doing some casual Christmas shopping in a local dollar store.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s office was called to the scene when the rogue beaver was spotted calmly perusing Christmas trees and boxes of decorations in the store. “Cpl. Yingling had a unique call for service when the suspect [pictured below] was witnessed causing property destruction at a store in Charlotte Hall,” the office shared on Twitter.
They later updated that the festive beaver was “safely rescued by animal control and was released to a wildlife rehabilitator.”
